Urinary Incontinence
There are several different causes for urinary incontinence (urine leakage). A careful office evaluation will determine the cause, whether it is stress, urge (overactive bladder), mixed stress-urge, overflow incontinence, or fistula formation.
Treatments depend on the severity and correct cause (diagnosis) of urinary leakage, and range from non-surgical (Kegel exercises, pessary placement, Intone or Apex pelvic floor rehabilitation, ThermiVa vaginal rejuvenation) to surgical (bladder suspensions, slings, fistula repair). Treatment options will be discussed and the least invasive, most conservative treatments will be recommended first.
